Low tide 11.15- High tide 17.15.
Fished a river mark 7th Dec from around 13.00 to 17.30.Using crab on pully pennel and up and over rigs.. I was amazed at the depth of water out in front. tide was coming in quickly with little weed.crab activity was low and the baits were coming back fairly untouched. as the sun went down fishy things started to happen. small bites on one rod like flounder trying to take the crab bait. The other rod suddenly had a couple of bit bites which stopped. I sat on my hands and waited and the fish returned. I lifted into a nice codling just over two pounds and in it came. Quick photo and cast back out as had another trace ready to go. within seconds a huge bite and the rod bent over , lifted into a codling just short of 4lbs. gave a good scrap and in it came. Quick photo and the other rod was nodding and in came a flounder. One more cast as the tide was ebbing and in came a whiting of 1lb. was well dark now and a bit spooky so decided to call it a day. was buzzing with such an excellent session all the way home.

Had a problem posting the report with the photos so added this to the photos above. tight lines

Fished there a couple of times in the past, the ebb current can be ferocious so a a 4lber must've strained the shoulder all right. Well done.
On my last night session there, a sea otter appeared out of the gloom at our feet, sniffed the bait bucket, then ambled off into the dark....

Thanks Hugo, luckily it was just before the tide turned, sure was some push on the ebb, thought it might come over the wall. Lads had left mackeral on the bank maybe for the otter !!
