To anyone hitting the obvious, and not so obvious marks for them macks how has your sessions been? Doctor gave me the go ahead for fishing and could use a bitta exercise Post up your sessions and let us know.

Was over on Inishmeain last weekend and caught about a dozen Macs in about two hours fishing. All of the fish were a good size unlike the small Macs I have been catching in Wicklow the last decade or so.One of the islanders said they were very scarce last year. One or two of them were a very nice size.
Thursday evening fishing near Rush. An hour or so either side of high tide Nothing Terns were diving like crazy for ages in an area about 800m offshore. Will try again next week. Must be some Mackerel in the Irish Sea, Surely
Fished Ballycotton Wednesday evening about 30 caught 25 by one guy 5 between rest of us only 5 people fishing all great big fish place is solid with sprat and sandeel.
They seem to be scarce until August the last few years on the east coast ,the trawlers were picking some up all winter mixed in with herring ,and I got 3 out at lambay the first week of march ,but hopefully they will arrive inshore soon ,but they seem to be changing their patterns over the years, and getting hammered by the super trawlers doesn’t help
Don't see them close to shore, but off Carlingford out by the Hellyhunter there are loads. In fact, I haven't seen so many in years.and they're all a good size too.
We got 4 Mackerels and 8 Pollacks, 2 of which are decent size on a 2h session with the kids, Bantry bay entrance, rock/slipway spinning with feathers and tinsels, West Cork.
Looks much better this year.
We went out on bank holiday Monday.
