All,
Looking for a smallish lake boat. Will probably keep it in Blessington, think it's €60 a year, and them move to other lakes when needed.
I have a trailer for my Bayliner classic, which is 19ft and a 4HP 2 stroke engine, would that engine be ok for move a 17ft fiberglass or wooden lake boat?
On the price, I'm looking at this and wondering if it's fair value;

The 4hp is fine for small lakes but you wouldn’t want to be out in a big wind on one of the larger lakes.
There’s a 5hp limit on Blessington.

I use a 5hp on my 17ft fibreglass boat on the Derg. Works grand but ya have to launch close to where you want to fish. 5hp wont let you cover a the big lakes
