pitched up at 8 pm into calm if damp conditions.
Rocks slippery from leakage from rain.
Humped over the wrasse hole and missed a big one on first cast with a German Sprat, at my feet.
They never showed after that.
First up was a 1/2lb pollack.
Next came the fish of the session, a pollack of around 5 lbs or 2 kilos in superb condition. Fought really well on light casting gear.
A small Ali Express 20 gram silver sprat or herring like lure was doing the business.
They were hitting it and leaving other stuff.
A collection of pollack in the 1-2 lb range followed, with two mackerel right at the end in darkness. Small but big enough for the pan.

Well done Kieran, that's a nice Pollack from the shore! 

2009 species: thornback ray, pollack, coalfish, red gurnard, ballan wrasse, cuckoo wrasse, garfish, whiting, lsd, bull huss, flounder, pouting.
