Going to Cork tomorrow morn for a night or two. Just wondering if there is anywhere worth fishing within max 45mins of the city. will just have the spinning rod so light bait fishing or spinning is the option. :)
Any suggestions about where to go? anything at all....
also anywhere to get bait? Anything at all will do, doggies, tiddlers mackerel....
Thanks for any info or help 8)

Tides for Cobh On Thurs: HW: 14:06 LW: 20:41 3.3m (neap tides)
Col,
Don't do a whole pile from the shore myself.Try the deep water quay in Cobh, could well hit mackerel to spinners. Doggies to bait. Its Close to the city. Alternatives would be: east: Inch strand (bait) White bay (bait/plugs). West: Ringaskiddy (bait or plugs), The forts at Crosshaven or Kinsale direction.
PM Donal Domoney he'll have more info on what's happening
Later,
Jim.

id say your best beat would be crosshaven if your spinning the fortcamden would 1 of the best spots around for spinning for bass when you go down there, there will be a security gaurd on the gate he should leave in or else he could be a bit of you know what and not let you in
also in crosshaven there is a place called church bay on wevers point
great spot for macreal when there about crosshaven is at the very mount of the harbour its a very undeestamated place for fishing .
i wouldnt try the wall if your spinning ringaskiddy next to the navel base is a great spot make sure you have boots as it a bit messie there hope
this helps you a bit.
