People: Just me
Duration: 7.30am to 1 pm
Tide: LW around 2pm
Weather: Hazy sunshine - lovely and warm
Bait: Frozen sandeel, mackeral and squid
Rigs: pulley pennels, running ledger and 2 hook paternosters
Results: 13 LSDs !
Report: Lovely morning, hazy sunshine with sea mist offshore. Was getting a doggie on every other cast - sandeel and mackeral most effective, nothing on the squid.
A bit disappointing that nothing else was caught.
A strange thing happened about mid morning, I had both rods out - about 60m and 90m when all of a sudden a huge sea trout - over 10lbs - travelling at speed jumped clear of the water, as soon as he landed he jumped again and again - in all he travelled about 30 feet from my right to left about 30 feet out. Didn't seem to be chasing anything - it looked just like the way salmon leap the rapids - really giving it some wellie.
Why do they jump like this, anyone know ?
Regards
Aido
