Gauges not powering and boat not starting

#1 Post by ihaveissues »

Hi was working on the electrics on my boat (bayliner Classic), just putting in some lights and a new switch panel.
All electrics worked fine but now the gauges don't seem to be getting power and the killswitch doesnt seem to be engaged.
VHF, fishfinder etc work it's just the gauges. When I try to start the engine, it fires but does what it does when the killswitch hasn't been
engaged. I know it's not the battery as it sounds fine and is powering all other devices. Any ideas?

AS you can see, key turned, no gauge action!

This is also this, it's just for the anchor light, I'm not sure it plays a part in any of this but I couldnt remember which way the connectors
went, and it's the only think I didn't put back. But again, it's just for the anchor light.

HI, idk, but I had a look and saw there was tape around one of the wires, took it off and the wire had come off the spade connector

Just rewired it and we're up and running again.
