Hi all
Are bait pumps worth it. Im debating between an Alvey or D.S
Also is it better starting off with a larger bore rather than lets say 22mm.
Quiet an amount of money to pay for something if its of no use

Tried pumping myself and never got much with it I have the large bore alvey . I also made one from copper for a few quid and its way better! Save yourself the 70 quid and get some one inch copper piping

Re: Bait pumps?
I bought one last year and have used it a handful of times, there is a knack to it and I'd say once you get the hang of it can be productive, but I think unless you are willing to put a lot of hours into getting it down and finding the right place to do it then there's not much point. My local tackleshop does 20 lug for 6 euro which would take me about 2 hours to pump so I personally will either be sticking to digging ragworm or just buying the lugworm if I need it.
