Garmin 7cv
Hi lads and lassies just another quick one that someone may be able to answer. I have a Garmin 7cv unfortunately its too far away from me at the moment to try things out on but Im hearing great things about this relief shading and that Garmin have joined up with Navionics and Im wondering if I pay for the app will I be able to see it using the Active Captain setting on the unit.

How old is your unit?
Relief shading is a great advance. I use a phone to run Avenza maps to display Infomar scans in real time on the boat. Relief shading will allow it all on the one gps screen.
If you unit is capable, you’ll have to buy a section of chart- a 3G Vision chart. You’ll have this on your Active captain app as well.
Some people are subscribing to the Navionics app instead. Garmin bought Navionics a while back.
