frozen peeler crab

#1 Post by Dogbert »

Lads, any idea how long frozen peeler can be kept in the freezer.
In other words would peeler frozen down last autumn still be worth using this year.

Thanks

Yes, if they have been prepared properly.
Peel, remove lungs (although this is up for debate, I do it anyway) rinsed and put into an airtight wrapping. I usually wrap in foil or clingfilm and put them then into lunch boxes/ice cream tubes to further stop freezer burn. Probably overkill but it works for me.
