Where: Rogerstown Estuary
Duration: 16:00-19:00
Low Water: 18:58
Equipment: 9ft abu garcia spinning rod with shimano 4000 reel.
Bait/Lures: Samson Enticer Minnow 15g White & Tacklehouse Feedshallow 128mm Bloodhead.
Conditions: Gusty with patchy sunshine ending in rain.
Result: Blank
I had been looking at buying a tacklehouse feedshallow lure for months but it is a rather pricey lure so I kept putting it off... until today that is! And I had to give it a bash so I got down to Rogerstown 3 hours before low tide, my plan was 2hrs down to low tide and an hour up but ended up being an hour early. I walked all the way out as far as I could along the channel and back casting all along the way covering as much water as I could and trying different ways of retrieving to no avail. I was thinking about fishing the gullies on the beach as the tide started to push in but rain got really heavy so I decided to call it a day!

Pity about the blank but well worth a having a go.
The trouble fishing the Channel is sometimes the water is that shallow the fish are easily spooked by anything moving along the shore line.
