Hi! New to the forum and was fishing cappagh two nights ago using squid and bluey on 1/0 3 hooked flapper rig.
Got about 10 bites and when I struck them didn't hook into any. Are my hooks too small?
Also when fishing cappagh is the deep channel straight out?(over the railing?) And is that where most of the fishing is?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Cappagh pier deep channel
hooks might be too big - try size 2s and 4s
also could be crabs bait robbing

I fish 3/0 and 4/0 in the estuary though smaller hooks will get you more hook up generally
