Equipment: 11ft Daiwa bass rod with Shimano 4000 Reel
Bait/Rig: Shamrock Orange Bunty Tubes with 4oz lead.
Conditions: Bit breezy but not too bad.
Result: A mackerel!
Couldn't sleep so decided to stay up another couple of hours and try Skerries pier for some mackerel as high tide was at 5.30am. I got there at 3.30am and started fishing, few minutes later a van pulls up for an incoming trawler, while the trawler was offloading I got a bite, nice little mackerel and a chase from a seal but I got it in
Few more casts and I lost that rig to a snag and switched to regular old shiny sabikis but no more luck after that! Lovely colour on it though!
