gran canaria advice needed

going on holiday to playa del ingles shortly.
I've never been there but have been reading it is good for deep sea fishing.
any advice as to which charter boats are good?
also,I will be taking the mini ugly stik and a 9ft telescopic spinning outfit.
can anybody tell me what I can fish for from the shore or rocks over there and what sort of tackle to take eg lures and spinners or float and leger.
