The angler counted 13 doggies caught and abandoned. Terrible carry on. The gist of the discussion seems to be that it was done by "anglers" apparently a cohort of wankers that regularly fish the area.Just arrived at Ballycotton pier to wet a line and was greeted by this sight. I have a fair idea who was responsible too for this attrosity..... This sickens me to my core.

Re: Ballycotton - Killing Doggies
That's disgusting. I understand that people might kill a dogfish for use as pot bait, but to just kill them for no good reason and leave them there is pretty desperate

Re: Ballycotton - Killing Doggies
is it not just a spill out of box to be used for pot bait?
killing them for the sake of it by a supposed angler is ridiculous

Re: Ballycotton - Killing Doggies
Seen a fella try this with one dog fish before. While he was casting I walked over and grab the dogfish by the tail and lobbed into the ocean.
Wouldnt hesitate to do it again.

What a horrible thing to do, is there even anything you can do to put a stop to that?

Makes no sense, dogs are the only thing to catch there on ground bait there in my experience.corbyeire wrote:is it not just a spill out of box to be used for pot bait?
