I had a surprise mackerel from the shore the other day, easily the latest in the year ever. We used to stock the freezer with mackerel in summer for winter, we might be doing it the other way around in future especially given the trouble we can have getting reliable mackerel supplies in summer! Well done on getting out at this time of year.

I taught the same john, serious lack of mackerel during summer,my freezer isn't looking great at the moment, I might go out next week and try bag a few more, water surface temp was 9.3 not too bad for time of year I suppose.
