Hooking yourself
Remember seeing a post not that long ago about how deadly the mustad shrimper rigs were......well they are equally deadly in human flesh. Fishing macs from the boat last night I managed to drive one into my finger well past the barb......mate had to push the point through and bring the spade end after it...painful but thankgod it was a spade end and not an eyed hook. If it had been eyed then I would have been stumped not having any wire cutters/snips....henceforth I'm going to make sure to carry a set in the bag for such incidents
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout

First Year Fishing on the boats, I decided to be a smart arse and throw the lead off the boat when it had stopped, 3 Cod Feathers through the hand.
Luckily it was more of a Gash than a Hole and thehooks lifted out again... Still got that scar on my hand to remind me to BE CAREFUL. lol

Out on Luke Scully's boat "The dirty Fecker I" he hooked a tope in Dublin Bay, fought it all the way to the boat and Ed Burke aka "never mind the pollocks" wrapped the long wire snood around his hand when trying to land it, the tope guesstimated at 40lbs then decided to shoot off toward hollyhead nearly taking a few of Ed's fingers with him
OUCH!
OUCH!

My mate once got a spinner stuck in weed. After trying to pull it out for a while the spinner became free with such force that he got a trebble hook in the cheek. Ouch. After laughing my ass off for 5 mins I took it out for him. No scars but funny as hell.
