Fixed spool

#1 Post by nareik1 »

Ive recently got an afaw 6 & bait,im just looking for advice on what would be best all round fixed spool reel for both beach and estuary fishing. I need something that will cast a decent distance. Hoping for something under €130.

I've had Penn Surfblasters for a while now and they've done brilliantly in all conditions. I'm currently looking at Shimano Ultegras as well but the Penns are really good and have done a lot of fairly heavy winching of weed and stuff. Very good value. Hopefully the Shimanos turn out to be as impressive for the money!

Have always fished with multipliers to cast off the shore at distance but recently bought a trionixpro envoy 7000 . Cheap, well made in my honest opinion it is doing exactly what I wanted it for. Was a little dubious but happily surprised. Have always used the sea version of the Shimano baitrunners for shore and boat work but they are not casting reels. But they are total class.
