Fish: Dogs,Whiting, Coalies, Poor cod, Mackerel, Tompot, pollack,Dab

Fished Ballycotten last week, last minute decision just for a few hours just to get out of the house. Fished the end of the pier where the turning area is . One rod straight out, One to the left and one small rod looking for minis down the front.

Far out rod was baited with sandeel or crab, - Produced only dogs,
Rod to the left was just scratching with mackerel and sandeel for species - Dogs, whiting, poor cod and coalies kept me busy with this
Rod dropped down the front of the pier was looking for some mini species to add to my tally. Very active at the start of the session , Plenty of coalies and pollack taking the bait. Had one Tompot blenny and a surprising mackerel. Once the tide got below half it went dead,

Good stuff James. Plenty of fish and species.
Would love a wee session or two like that. Bit cold and windy up this way at the moment though.. :|
Nice report 8)

Ah sure that's not the attitude to have. Just have to get out no matter the weather
