Report:there is something about catching ur first mackerel of the year from the shore that makes u realise the summer is finally here. i had really good fun this morning and i'll definately hit it again on sunday for the rising tide. just have to get a few bashes out of my system and then i can concentrate on more serious fishing. there is just something about the silver buggers that gets u excited when u hit the shoals!! mackerel hotspot here, always has been and decent fishing for pollock and blocken from august on.
