Savage Gear 3D Line Thru Sandeel
Anyone use this yet?. They look great and I'm sure I'll add 1 or 2 to my bag, even though I prefer to keep it as simple as possible at the business end, just a hook and a soft plastic is enough for me, not into the beads and the split ring, but handy to have in the bag under certain conditions. Any reports would be good to hear.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!

It's nothing new to the world of fishing, they have been used in Scandinavia for decades for sea trout. The line through idea helps to avoid sea trout throwing the hooks as they don't have the lure body to use as leverage.
I'll pick up a couple as the smaller size looks ideal for estuary marks and the bigger size for the surf. Westin offer something similar - in fact there are a lot of excellent looking Westin sea trout lures coming into Ireland over the past few months.

They have a brilliant action, and cast like a rocket but I am disappointed in the fact that any Seatrout I have hooked have threw the hook despite the line-thru principal. Much better hook ups with some of the metal lures. As someone has already said there are a great range of lures from Westin. Some are really good and well thought out.

I've used them for bass and sea trout. My advice is don't use the manufacturer's hooks, invest in some good owner hardware, use two split rings and two rubber beads.
110mm is probably most successful sea trout lure this year and I've lost a few good bass on the 19gm one in YG silver due to the fact that I hooked them before I realized the hooks were sh¹te.
