Over the weekend I intended to take full advantage of the slack winds and take the kayak out for a few hours on Sat and Sun Unfortunately when i looked out the window Sat morning there was a thick blanket of fog covering the coast. Regardless of the fog i packed up my gear and headed off! I launched close to Clonea and headed out about a km to rough ground. Spent about 2 hours bottom fishing with frozen mack only managing to pick up 5-6 mackerel!
Same story again Sunday morning, thick blanket of fog hugging the coast so i launched @ Helvick and headed out around the head land. As soon as i passed the head i was greeted by a solitary dolphin passing within 10 meters. I headed out to where i wanted to fish and dropped the fresh mack caught the day before. it was incredible within the 2 hours i spent i must of seen 100+ dolphins ( unless it was the same pod swimming around me ) but as great as it was seeing all the dolphins at close range it didnt make up for the blank!
Whats the best way to upload videos???

I was surprised to see the macks were still there mostly because there has being a pair of trawlers pillaging the harbor with the last few days apparently fishing for sardines
