got out on clare dragoon in rolly conditions, agree with paddy002 a lot less pelagic sharks
around this year, thought we were finally going to manage to blank on a blue shark trip,
just at lines up got one, no porbeagle around

Was talking to a local man who fishes a lot out at the Bills Rocks off from a family half decker - he complained the same - one blue and one porbeagles so far this year.... despite a mile and a half long slick... could be the weather or the long liners.... but there's huge fish been landed in SW England (new blue, thresher records) so it may be that they have not come as far north?jw wrote:got out on clare dragoon in rolly conditions, agree with paddy002 a lot less pelagic sharks

2 weeks ago the crew i usually go out with went out were out and picked up two small blues! I was unable to head out but from my fathers report they barely put a bend in the rod but beats the previous blanks! The weather has not allowed us to get out since and the long range forecast for next weekend is not looking great
