waterfoot pier/Cusdendall rocks
People: Myself and the Girlfriend
Duration: About 5 hours
Tide: Going out
Weather: Fine sunny spells
Bait: Ragworm, sandeel
Rigs: Leger
Results: Started off fishing rocks at Cushendall first cast landed a nice Pollack 1.5Ilbs on sandeel. Loose Weed then became a serious problem. Tried floatfishing for a while nothing doing so decided to move to Waterfoot pier. The girlfriend landed 3 flatties a small plaice and two flounders (One nice one approx. 1Ilb) all caught on rag. I caught a few dabs, one smallish plaice and I small coalie all on legered rag. Messed around with slider float fished tight to the peir and p[icked up 4 small Wrasse and a few small pollack. All in all not bad! you must have just left as I arived Belfast lep. were you fishing beside tied up boat? Few headbins about the place as usual. Interestingly a large salmon jumped out twice quite close to the peir could have been a escapee! Had a go with a flying C for a while but no joy!
