Donegal Bay - 21/05/2016

Fished a Pier mark for our first attempt at reported Rays (Few year old report). 3 Lesser-Spotted Dogfish was all that we seen for the 6 hour session.

It was a nice change to fish with a local and his son ,Helped in Firming our knowledge and ideas for our next mark. Pity after all our chatting his son left his rod behind. Called passed a local house and left the rod and description with them.

Biggest Dogfish of the day was 24/26 inches. All in all , Great day .... Not a total blank and the weather held up.

2019 species; ballan wrasse,blonde ray, coalfish, cod, cuckoo wrasse, dab, dogfish, flounder, goldsinny wrasse, ling, mackerel, plaice, pollack, poorcod, pouting, scad, sea scorpion, spotty ray, spurdog, thornback, tub gurnard, turbot, whiting.
