Casting Tuition

#1 Post by enoonan001 »

Hi All,
Have been out a few times recently chucking a bit of fluff for a few small pike. Limited success but its great to get out.
One thing I have noticed though is that my casting with the bigger flies needs work, big time.

Can anyone recommend a good casting tutor/guide? I'm based in Limerick but will travel for good tuition.

Thanks in advance.

Eoin

JimH runs an occasional workshop, but they book up rapidly.

Thanks Tanglerat.
I saw JimH had a workshop on but I think it is full.
Must be faster the next time I see them advertised.

Hoping to get something sorted for sometime in the coming few weeks. Want to get the season off to the right start if I can.

You could try this chap below from a casting perspective. Its a long way to come to Wexford just for casting instruction. Can I suggest a few lessons with a local APGAI of FFF instructor - and then why not come to Wexford for a full day maybe with another person whose interested - a condensed version pf the following link http://jimhendrick.com/workshops/workshops/

That way we can make it a real full day perhaps - a one night stay Friday or Saturday a chat continued over a few pints in Wexford! - let me know if you are interested Eoin once the weather gets beyond the 17th of MARCH
