Duration:10am-1pm

Tide:low at 11.15am

Weather:very blustery and showery

Bait:sandeel and squid

Rigs:pulley and 2 hook flappers

Results:2 doggies to Sean ,me:blank

Report:At last>after 2 years of trying Sean finally beat me from the shore. :x :x .I'm still sulking.
We initially set off to have a go for stingray but when we got to our chosen mark it was too windy.We decided to have a go at some comfortable fishing on the pier.Sean pulled in a doggie first cast and things looked good but we struggled after that.Sean managed one more doggie but after the tide turned the crabs came out to play and baits were being hit by them within 1 min of casting.We saw 2 small thornies being caught while we were there and the funny sight of johnny forejgner using a lidl rod with about 4lb line and Carp boilies for ray.That would have been some angling feat.

how many years is it since fenit pier head used to be worth a long drive for, aint had a decent ray off there for about 4 years(stinger that was as well) :( :?
