No cod showed up at all over a 2 day session are they late coming in ... Is the milder weather keeping them out in the deeps plenty of other small species but not 1 cod . Is it looking like a bad year or is it just too early coz of the mild weather

Fished on sat last at ferry point , had 15 small cod to 1lb on frozen crab on the ebb tide, a fisherman next to me had a cod well over 10lbs to within feet of the shore, it was a big fish but pulled the hook, biggest fish I have seen off the beach, felt sorry for him as he had done as much as he could not to bully it. Classic one that got away

I fished the park yesterday, 2 hours before high and an hour down.
I had lug and frozen crab, 1 fish about 2lb on my first cast, hey hey we're in for a good session I thought!
Unfortunately that was it, not even a rattle after that first fish.

waiting for them but they dont show, then......the wind, rain and storms batter us non stop ! Been watching n waiting since start November and cant restrain meself any longer 
tides are right next week, santa dun n dusted and turkey gone so only thing for it, weather r no weather is load up and hit the motorway..............The worst that happen be blown, weeded and washed out of it......like, whats new !!!-

Came in at 6.5lb! Had a fantastic session, fished for 2/3 hours Xmas eve and picked up 2 bass and 2 cod! Headed to the same mark this eve similar conditions same bait same state of the tide and managed one flounder

Six of us fished Youghal on Sunday two nice cod a flounder, whiting and an eel. fishing wasnt great and most of the fish were caught on the top of the tide after that the run was to strong and we had to pack up.

Night would be your best option, i had a good session a few nights ago and went again yesterday morn and not a bite. Theyre fairly scattered at the moment.
