EU Bass proposals 2016 - All heading for Kerry?

#1 Post by JimC »

The latest version of the EU proposals on bass:
NB: These are proposals, so expect some change when actually passed 14/15 Dec.

There is a still a ban proposed for any fishing from Jan 1 to Jun 30. This ban is for everywhere bar West coast of Ireland (And a small bit of West Cork) (VIIj, VIIb)
There will be a 1 fish limit for all recreational fisheries. Jan - Dec in Kerry- Jul-Dec Everywhere else. (There is also no mention of VIIb so there may be another draft)

This is my reading of the latest document and I am open to correction...

The changes made in relation to Recreational fishing are here:

Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC
