Duration: 18.45 - 23.15

Tide: HT 00.30

Weather: Glorious, no wind, calm and still

Bait: Rag, squid and some sardine. Cebar lures

Rigs: 2 Hook clip down and 3 Hook scratcher

Results: :D :D :D 4 Pollack up to 3lb, 2 coalies, 2 Dogs, 1 x Grey Gurnard & 1 x Red Cod :D Liam got 5 also, a mix of Dogs & Pollack

Report:
Great night tonight at the ledges. We started off from Low tide so there was a lot of kelp to contend with but there was an advantage to this because we could see the kelp it was easier to get at the fish hiding in there.

The fishing was steady all night and we were kept very busy.

I took a 3lb pollack on the Cebar with a light spinning rod and 30lb braid, it was one of the best scraps I have had witha fish - it took me 15 mins to land the bloody thing   - it was in and out of the kelp and diving for the bottom the whole way in - GREAT FUN with the tackle I was using.....

I also met Rab525 who, by all accounts had a great session further up the coast - I'll let him tell you about it......

Also - two new species added to the list - HAPPY DAYS :D :D

Cracking spot Drew, you can get some good size fish off the Ledges. Can be a wee bit tricky sometimes as you do have to cast from the road on occasions

Sure is mate - it can be a bit difficult to cast and keep an eye out for traffic also - The best one ever was when a big Ulsterbus stopped in the middle of the road to let wee Conor C wind up a cast - everyone on the bus got out of their seats to see what was going on - the pressure didn't faze him at all - he just banged the lead out, stuck the rod in the rest and gave the bus driver the thumbs up 8) 8) Too cool for school that wee lad :) :)
