Six mackerel taken (2 fishing) out from Bulloch yesterday evening in about 40 minutes. Saw a few lads catching from the West Pier in D-L as well.
It ain't easy but it sure is simple!
Entries now open for the Henry's Tackle Shop All Ireland Shore Smooth Hound Championships on July 18h hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Good hook ups off Roches Point (full string on every drop) and then Harbour Rock in Cork this evening. Some good size fish in the 1lb range.
Tide: 1hr before and up to high water.
Wind:Westerly 4 with a good swell on

We got about 20 out of Bulloch on Sunday, mostly hitting them in ones and twos and mostly small.

Big numbers of Mackerel off the north Louth coast. Species competition last Sunday and it was near impossible to get through them at every mark

Was out yesterday evening -none to be had inside the harbour and for a while scarce at a few spots outside the harbour

However later on in the session as we drifted a bit more, we hit them in big numbers, by the end they were a nuisance as they hit everything on every drop

Any recent reports from Dun L down to greystones. Still about. Was out a few weeks ago it shocking. :( thinking of going out this weekend and wondering if I should be bringing the freezer stock or is there fresh ones about.

Mate was out last thurs from Dun Laoghaire and got plenty outside the harbour and up in Kilinney Bay but always safer to take a few frozen if you have them.
