Wahoo are great fun.

I remember a few years ago on Honeymoon I wen't out trolling for marlin. No Marlin that day, but I was watching the jigs popping in the water on the way back to the harbour. This Wahoo struck the lure and came about 3 feet out of the water. Needless to say I was down the ladder and holding the rod before the skipper had stopped the engine. Great fight. The fish was about 40lbs. Gear was a little heavy though (130lb class) Still, great to see the jig strike. :D

I am amazed to see how many people have not caught Bass. Is this down to location in Ireland or just bad luck..?

Man that sucks..That would drive me mad..! To be fair its ok in Dublin, some hot spots etc but my best Bass fishing is done in Wexford, Waterford and Kerry. Although I did catch my biggest bass in Wicklow so ye just never know.

For me it has to be mullet, sea trout and bass. The bass I plan to target when on holiday in the south of England with my beachcaster. Mullet I hope to pick up on float tactics with a light spinning rod. Sea trout have to be got on the fly.

Thanks to B0ogaloo, I've wiped thornies, mackerel and tope off this year's to-do list.

Wouldn't say no to a blue shark, mind you. So long as I hit 20 species before the year is out, I'll be happy....
