not even a bite!

got up this morning with high hopes and hit the copper coast. made my way to the head land at the waterford side of the cove and set myself up to fish the middle of the cove on the rising tide.
Tried the mussel, eel and lug individually to no avail turned to trying a variety of the cocktails to see if i could coax any fish out of hiding. But in the 34 hours fishing didnt even manage a bite

Any of ye guys try this cove lately??

34 hours is some effort!

hard lines - were you in darkness? smaller hooks, maybe the flounder then would keep you busy

haha yup 34 hour sessionmy index fingers were raw from casting "3 or 4 Hours"

nope it was this morning i was there from low water to fish the rising tide so about 10:30am. I had to go to work so had no choice in leaving.

Good call, ill downsize next time and see if i get any action

One place I Have never fished before and it is only a half hour drive ? Have you fished it before ? Just got my tackle prepped for a long fishing session this weekend down by ardmore are destination undecided

I was only there once before hauling out mackerel but thought it looked ideal for housing various different species being able to fish the beach and off the rocks into deep water with sand and rough ground on either side!!

next time if they dont take the bait im going in with the spear gun

yeah it looks enticing alright. I went kayak fishing there before for pollack... I'm going to give ballyquin strand or youghal strand a go this Sunday maybe Monday also. Fished the abbey in youghal last week caught a few flatties. And moved to dungarven then and caught a few pin whiting

I was half thinking of investing in a angling kayak!! there are so many marks that look fantastic around the copper coast that are impossible ot get to from land!!

are the worth the money or was it only a novelty when you bought it??

i didnt buy it just borrowed it from a friend... not sure if you can rent one somewhere and take it out maybe
