Cork Codling - Video Report (Another one :) )

#1 Post by JimC »

During the last settled spell I go at the codling in the harbour again.
I had two superb sessions in a few days.
Hopefully they will still be around still we we get a break in the weather again...

Here are two separate clips from the same day:

Good fishing jim. Itching to get out over here to give it a try. Did you ever try scented lures ?
What you opinion on them?

Many lures have some scent/additive added. I know most Illex have. Black minnow don't have any additive. I couldn't say it makes any difference. They all still catch fish.
The Yanks are big into "hot rodding" lures - giving lures a splash of colour by dipping or marking and dipping in additive too.
I'm going to try the Nitro Booster in a while.... Will it make a difference? I will be difficult to convince!

Cheers for posting Jim, you make it look too easy. :)

PS Did I spot you out today around lunch time off Graball? I was on a sneaky shore session at Camden for an hour around low tide but didn't get a pull. Nice weather though.
