Banna, Ballyheigue and the blackrock fairly weedy at the moment.
The finest gift you can give a fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Under the lighthouse in black head Co.Clare was nothing short of a tackle graveyard with all the weed this evening...and it seemed grand yesterday :?

Fished rock marks between Lahinch and Spanish point on Saturday. Small floating weed made spinning difficult but manageable. 3 very small pollack caught and returned.

Catastrophic weed here in Dingle harbour, don't know about the north side of the peninsula but the wind is coming straight in from the west so I'd say Brandon could get hit. The Ballydavid side of Smerwick harbour is poor enough but I'd assume the opposite side is grand around Dún an Óir and Béal Bán. The swell is coming in strong over the next few days so it could carry in alot of weed with the westerly winds. I think the winds are changing to the south westerly's so the north side of the peninsula could avoid damage.

the extent of my knowledge at the moment. :)
A bad days fishing is still better then a good day at the office.

Fishing Inch strand, Kerry on Friday night (1st Nov), rising tide and perfect conditions. Impossible to fish with weed. Would be interested to know when it clears if anyone else fishing there soon!

Ballybunnion & Ballyheigue smothered in weed. large beds been blown in, its ongoing for the last few weeks. Pretty tough going for beach casting. Fenit is the go to there at the mo. Strand running a little better than the Bally's.

plenty of the stringy weed mid water at the flaggy shore - they seem to be doing a lot of defence work at the road near the little beach - water really silty and cloudy from it all - probably needs a while to settle down
