Saturday 13th December - Mayo meet?

#1 Post by kieran »

Hi

I know a ton of you are all heading for the Cod Championships but for those of us who can't, I'm trying to organise something on the Saturday, perhaps a beach session given the massive blow due to happen Wednesday (8-10 m water, force 10 +).

Saturday is looking good, cold, NW, force 4 or less, HW is 9 am and starting to fill again from 4 pm so I was thinking that there might be beaches with fish coming in to survey the daamge and see what they could pick up?

Was looking at a combination of Keem Bay (filing) and Dugort (ebbing) over the day if anyone is interest...

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Usually results up there are awful - then once in a while you get the 25 fish and 10 species report!

I am very concerned about the probability of tons of weed after the big storm...
