Weather:cold but nice

Bait:crab, fresh mussel , lug squid

Rigs:pulley rigs and two hook clipped

Results: a nice few cod , flounder,a couple of dogfish




Report:heade down to youghal and has to pick up a rod of a lad fishing in green park and saw a small cod being landed so hopes were high , we headed for the beach and it looked settled and nearly a full tide we decided we try our luck here and see how the weed was , turns out the weed was in close and as long as you followed it out it wasn't a problem we had painted ray as out target species but instead landed a few cod on the dropping tide , got some sleep and were back up at 4am for the high tide at 6 but only had a nice flounder and a couple of dogs for out trouble , headed over to ferrypoint to for low tide and got a lovely run of codling with my brother catching more than myself both of us landed a few nice for the dinner and the rest went back, it was a great weekend and after many a trip down south things eventually fell into place , thanks to a few lads on here that have given me a few tips and tricks . The new rod got a good testing
