There are ok, but there's been a lot of netting the past few years. Further west along the cliffs at Belderrig is a place called Horse Island that's separated from the land by a very narrow channel. Its reputed to be the haunt of monsters - pollock, conger, wrasse etc. Too tight for a boat, hard to get to on foot, but perfect for the kayak....
