fished last sat at the ferry point in youghal first cast produced a nice codling around the 4lb mark,the fish was in very good condition not much else happened after that except for a few small coalies and a flounder so we decided to head home 1 hour after high tide.fished the same spot the next morning with my club carrigaline sac for a shore comp again it was mainly a quite session with the odd flounder,it was coming to the end of the comp when I noticed a little tap on my rod so I decided to leave for a few minutes to develop.when I decided to strike the fish one of the lads called lines in as it was the end of comp.luckily I could feel that there was something on my line which I knew was a flounder and quite a nice 1 when it finally surfaced.luckily one of the lads had a certified scales with him the fish came in at 2 lbs 10z and 44 cm long I was over the moon a nice surprise on my last cast.
