Wicklow Pier

#1 Post by Sugarlumps »

People:Me and the Mutt.

Duration:6:30-9:00am

Tide: High

Weather: Brutal

Bait: Rag, Mackerel, Sandeels, Razor Fish

Rigs: 2 hook Flapper

Results: Codling, Dabs, Whiting

Report: I had set off on Friday from Bray, got as far as Newtown, the skies turned a menacing black. Turned around and settled on 18 bottles of Corona as solace. If I have fishing on my mind then I'm awake every hour, my sleep pattern is ruined. Does anyone else suffer from this?

Arrived at Wicklow in darkness, at least the wall provides shelter, very welcoming. Every cast produced a fish. All of small size, at least it made up for the previous week. I need to do a proper night session, I love being anonymous.

That's probably why you are a "grumpy angler."

Try some Green Tea and a few rice cakes. You'll be a new man
