Waterford estuary 18/19 October

Time
12 till 3 on Saturday
12 till 3.30 on Sunday
:

high tide around three

Weather windy and mild

Bait crab

Rig Pulley

Results:
Headed off to Waterford in the hope of a few cod, wasn't too hopeful with slack tides,lots of fresh water coming down and windy but had to give it a crack as I had the pass!.I was kept busy both days with 5 codling Saturday and three eels as the tide got near full and 6 cod and 4 eels on Sunday. No monsters
the biggest was 45 cm.

Great bit of fishing there frm, despite the lack of big fish you were kept busy and during daylight hours too, very encouraging, how did u you find the current coming up to high tide, was it hard to hold the bottom and what size weights were you using.

The current was slack enough, I was using6oz weights and they were holding in the bottom.

Good report mate. I have the pass for 4 days! :shock: ,this weekend so i might head down that direction and give it a bash.
