Report: After a 2 week layoff I headed to Greystones Harbour to give Fishface a hand disposing of all his hard dug Wicklow lug. We got there around 6pm and there were just a few anglers there. They soon left , but not before leaving all their rubbish behind
A man from Hong Kong decided to keep on fishing despite the protestations of his Irish wife who kept nagging him all night . The fishing was brutal,,,despite the species haul in the results section above 
. I had seven shore rockling,,,,or maybe the same one seven times 
. Fishface was having more success pendulum casting into the wind,,,nabbing a variety of pouting and Dabs. The codling he caught was smaller than the hook . In the recent past we seem to have attracted a variety of oddballs and this time was no different with a strange "gentleman" who was spaced out quizzing us on our fishing techniques before jumping up and down on the harbour wall. At least he freaked out Hong Kong man's wife and she headed off to the car to warm up for a while. I had to admire his patience and tolerance when she returned and carried on the nagging from where she left off 
. He had an amazing ability to just absolutely ignore her . The fishing went very quiet and Hong Kong man took out his phone and showed us some fine pollock he had caught here recently,,they looked in the 4 to 5lb bracket. Unfortunately I knew that this would just lead to a battle of the phonepics as Fishface took out his fone and searched for photos of bigger fish . When Hong Kong man landed a nice pollock of 37cms we knew that we would have to listen to the nagging for another while cos he wasn't going anywhere soon. He rebaited with rag and pulled in a better one of 42cms , fair play to him, his persistance had paid off. She had been telling him all night that no-one was catching anything, including us 
, but he had proved her wrong. With 2 pollock in the bag, he packed up, said his goodbyes to us and left. We stayed on for another hour catching the odd tiddler before heading off ourselves.
