People: just me

Duration: 3 hours 6pm - 9pm

Tide: full at 8.50

Weather: calm

Bait: frozen lug and mackerel

Rigs: flappers

Results: 5 dogfish 1 codling 1 dab

Report: Started fishing at 6 oclock and the fishing was bad for an hour and a half with no fish caught. The crabs were stripping the bait from the hooks. As soon as it got dark the fish start biting but the dogfish were a pest. I caught a small dab and codling double around 8 oclock , the codling was a keeper and the dab was tiny. There were a few rats around the pier trying to steal the mackerel

A guy beside me who was using fresh peeler crab got a few nice codling

Great to see the dogfish so far up the river, the rain will prob flush them back down though.
