anyone know what the beaches around kilmore quay are like or might be like for friday/staurday, thanks in advance.

Gusts of 65km on accuweather from the SSW on thursday night (probably much stronger in reality) - id say that will take care of the southerly beaches for the weekend - aim for somewhere else

corbyeire you are not the bringer of good news to me :D seriously though thanks for the info.
i attempted to fish that long beach to the right of kilmore quay one day a few years ago, looked very fishable lovely surf however the weed was atrocious, anyways i might give it a miss altogether.

yea the burrow can be a killer with the weed - small windows when its free - but have heard of great catches there - never so lucky myself

out in lacken last night - plenty of weed up the estuary there also - no fish again

They have sand on them, and the sea comes in and out, some have fish living in the water and some don't ;-)
