Just getting back into the fishing after not having gotten out all year... decided to give Ennereilly a bash today as I'd never fished it & heard some good reports. Got up at the craic of dawn this morning to make it down in time for the rising/high tide... set up at the end of the beach beside the river... 2 rods... fishing a variety of distances and different rigs... only had rag with me... not even a nibble! Very disappointing.
Great to be getting back out though all the same. Looking forward to some more productive sessions over the coming months.
Maybe tonights storm will throw up some better conditions for next week!

Can anyone recommend anywhere that might be fishing well early mornings at the moment? (East coast, anything in/around an hour drive from south dublin). Used to fish Ballymoney, Cahore, Courtown quite a bit as we had a holiday home down that direction (but not anymore...which is half the reason i wasn't out this year!)
Will try to get a few night sessions in over the next while but really enjoy the early mornings fishing in daylight every now and again.

Give it another week or two once it gets a bit colder then you will get a few flats there. The flats will be coming in close soon to feed up before spawning. Just stick at it, you will find the fish in the end. Nite time is your best bet untill the temps come down.
