Ballyhornan/Ardglass

#1 Post by FMCN »

People: just me

Duration: 19.30-22.00

Tide: low water about midnight; not a big tide

Weather:beautiful evening very light westerly

Bait:frozen sandeel

Rigs:deep trolling

Results: about a dozen pollack best just shy of 5 lb.

Report:Excellent nights fishing, I have caught lots of pollack from this mark before usually in the 1-3 lb range, so i was wondering if the bigger fish would appear nearer dusk. Maybe I was just lucky, but the average size was definitely better than when I have fished this mark during the day. Smallest was 2 lb most around 3 lb and the one bigger fish.

Where are the wrecks. Do you fish them from the shore?
