Mackerel petition

Hi all,
As a passionate all-round angler as well as fisheries biologist, like many of you I haven't failed to notice the marked decline in our Mackerel stocks in recent years (along with many other species of course). Obviously, irresponsible overfishing and increasingly greedy quotas are largely responsible for the fall in Mackerel numbers. Something has to be done to raise awareness of the gravity of the situation and the importance of Mackerel to our marine ecosystems. One avenue is to lobby the Government, hence why I have started a petition.

Could you please sign this and also spread the word to get as many signatures as possible! Together we can make a difference!
