Report:

My first report on here so bare with me people! Decided we'd head out fishing after work on Tuesday and said as we'd only be ready to go at 6 we'd head somewhere local. We decided to hit Killiney at about 2pm as its good to get out together regardless. One of the lads went the bait shop in Walkinstown on his lunch and was speaking to the chap there and when he heard we were going to Killiney he nearly died. Basically ordered us to drive to further south as we stood a better chance of getting some fish and even if it was only for a few hours fishing it would be better than Killiney anyday in his words. Now i've had some nice fish off Killiney but its more miss than hit:)

On his orders we all went for the longer drive! Using the crab and rag worm mix we got ourselves a couple smooth hounds. I caught 2 of them and the others caught none but the lads were delighted that one of us had caught something to write home about (in our eyes anyway) even if they caught nothing. Mine were caught about 80 yards out and as the lads could only cast about 50 yards at most, i reckon this could be why they didn't hook up that day. They gave a good fight all the way in and they can go on some darting runs which is great fun! As you can see i was very happy:)

Thanks very much for the advice to the man in the bait shop and we'll be back to get more bait and advice off you in the future! might even pop in the weekend for another crack at these guys!

People work to look forward to fishing, for those who can't fish stay in work there's nothing better.
