Cork fishing

#1 Post by Donnyboy1 »

Hey guys,
Was out with family yesterday on boat and inbetwwen beach hopping we tried for a few Mack for tea. Not a sign anywhere. Don't think anyone was catching inside the harbour anyway... Fave up and went home empty. Only caught one tiny pollock.
Planning on going out for a few hours with buddy after work tomorrow but fear it's useless.
Is anywhere fishing good in the harbour at all?
Any wrecks outside doing any decent catches? Heard lungs were bad too boot!

The macks were a plague last night from a boat an hour after the tide started coming in at 19:00 at cork harbour entrance.
The weight would go down a few metres and it would stop with a fish hitting it.
The problem is that 3 out of 4 were very small.
Any suggestions on how to avoid small mack?

i find myself that when the mack are scarce, they'll run out between white bay and roches point when the tide is filling the harbour...had bad days recently too and always found them there...
