The entry fee is €25 and this includes a bomber burger and a drink. I'll put up a full list of rules and a list of prizes over the weekend. Looking forward to this :)

rules for sportscast Ireland big fish bomber comp

1. The competition will be held as a traditional fishing match as well as a big fish competition and they both will run independently of each other, and separate prizes will be given for both.

2. For each competitor the single longest fish they catch will count towards the biggest fish competition.

3. Only one rod to be in the water at one time and a maximum of 3 hooks.

4. Only fish over 20 cm will count. Mackerel and weever fish will not count in the match or the big fish competition.

5. Each counting fish caught will be worth 1 point per centimetre plus 5 fish points (including dogfish)

6. Each angler will have every in size (20cm or over) fish signed by the angler beside them or a sportscast Ireland steward.
At the end of the competition each angler will get there scorecard signed by the angler beside them and highlight the longest fish on the card.

7. In the event of a tie in the match the most fish caught will decide the places.
For the big fish competition in the event of a tie the next longest fish will decide the places.

8. All anglers will keep the beach tidy and take away all litter.

9. The decision of the sportscast Ireland organising committee is final.
